Abstract

Originating in the mid to late 1980s in China, the "New Realism" novel was influenced by Western postmodernism and became one of the main variants of postmodernism in Chinese literary works, gradually forming a part of Chinese postmodernism literature. These works can analyze both the real-life scenes of Chinese cultural soil and the rebellious spirit influenced by postmodernism. This article takes the New Realism novel as the starting point and analyzes the local acceptance and transformation of postmodernism in Chinese literature, based on the social reality context of the transition period of Chinese literature. This article adopts the methods of parallel research and influence research, taking the characteristics of postmodernism in new realistic novels as the research object, exploring the acceptance of postmodernism in Chinese literature and its transformation in Chinese literature, in order to understand the existence of postmodernism in contemporary Chinese literature. Based on the research of Chinese new realistic novel schools, this article explores the development of Chinese literature in the context of postmodernism.
